First Light / Afterglow / After Dark

“First Light / Afterglow / After Dark” traces the changing atmosphere of New York City through morning, evening, and night. Made with deconstructed puzzle pieces layered onto wood panels, the three works translate the rhythm of the city into color, texture, and fragmented form.

Each piece holds a different moment: the quiet emergence of morning, the lingering warmth of evening, and the depth of night. Across their textured surfaces, light becomes a shifting presence, revealing some fragments while allowing others to recede. Together, the works offer an abstract portrait of the city—shaped by passing hours, fleeting impressions, and the continuous movement of everyday life.
